Urgent requirement: we are hiring a safety officer in Lee County, Virginia. The job is at a manufacturing plant. You should have: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot The role involves deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements.
