Stainless steel welder • New Madrid County, Missouri

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in New Madrid County, Missouri. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height 1+ years on the tools preferred.
