Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Cochran County, Texas. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Full-time, day shift.
