Garment machinist — Howard County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Howard County, Missouri. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Day to day you will trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Six days a week, one day off.
