Join our team: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Herkimer County, New York. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. On a typical shift you will keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; read and interpret the load chart before every lift. Requirements: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
