Requirements: • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Disciplined about PPE — respirator, gloves and goggles • Own basic hand tools such as a utility knife and trowel Day to day you will wrap HVAC ducts with foil-faced insulation and fasten with banding; fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters; work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness; apply liquid waterproofing to bathrooms and terraces before tiling; fix XPS and EPS boards to external walls with adhesive and mechanical anchors.
