What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); carry out 6G pipe welds where required; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
