Immediate opening: CO2 welder (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Jefferson County, Illinois. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. You should have: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • ITI in welder trade or equivalent The role involves: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch Full-time, day shift.
