You will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
