Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Putnam County, Ohio. The job is at a busy press shop. Day to day you will apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting. You should have: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
