Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Humboldt County, California. You will work on a bridge and infrastructure project. On the job you will handle: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Rotating shifts.
