Now hiring: we are hiring a spray painter (automotive) in Cherokee County, Iowa. You will work in a spray booth. On the job you will handle: • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper • Compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss • Prime and seal bare metal to stop rust • Apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour • Mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio • Apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun Requirements: • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
