Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring.
