Reinforcement steel fixer — Adams County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Adams County, Illinois. The role involves read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules 5+ years on the tools preferred.
