Immediate opening: industrial sewing operator (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Warren County, Virginia. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Day to day you will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines 3+ years on the tools preferred.
