Pipe TIG welder wanted in Wayne County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Wayne County, Missouri. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Your main tasks: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
