Plasterer wanted in Kenai Peninsula Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a plasterer in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You will be based on a commercial fit-out project. The role involves polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush; set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work; clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets; patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster; skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork. Ideal candidate: • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Good head for heights for ceiling and stairwell work • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
