Hand presser — Vale of Glamorgan

We are recruiting: we are hiring a hand presser in Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Day-to-day duties: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Give each garment a final press before packing • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
