Pipe tig welder wanted in Rice County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Rice County, Minnesota. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through We offer $32 per hour plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
