Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Clay County, Florida. Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
