Reinforcement steel fixer — Anne Arundel County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day to day you will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Full-time, day shift.
