Site carpenter • Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site carpenter in Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is in a bespoke joinery workshop. Your main tasks: • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers 3+ years on the tools preferred.
