Toolroom milling operator wanted in Washington Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Washington Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a busy machine shop. Ideal candidate: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges The role involves: • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts Full-time with occasional weekends.
