Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Northumberland County, Virginia. The role involves: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Overtime paid at a premium rate.
