Gas pipe fitter — Putnam County

Join our team: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Putnam County, Missouri. You will be based on commercial and industrial sites. Requirements: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Able to read isometric and site drawings The role involves: • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser Six days a week, one day off.
