Now hiring: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Clinton County, Iowa. You will be based at a heating and plumbing contractor. You should have: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders On a typical shift you will set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
