Gtaw welder — Jackson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Jackson County, Missouri. What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) On a typical shift you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
