Sample machinist wanted in Berkeley County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Berkeley County, West Virginia. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
