You should have: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio Day to day you will wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days.
