Vacancy available: steel fixing chargehand (Borno State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Magumeri, Borno State. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour What we are looking for: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Rotating shifts.
