Fire and safety officer — Barbour County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Barbour County, Alabama. You will work in a warehouse and logistics yard. You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Day-to-day duties: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
