Join our team: precision welder (Federal Capital Territory)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Municipal Area Council, Federal Capital Territory. Day to day you will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection 3+ years on the tools preferred.
