Gantry crane operator wanted in Grant County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Grant County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. Day-to-day duties: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins You should have: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • A good head for heights for tower crane work At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
