Mobile tyre fitter • City of Suffolk, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a mobile tyre fitter in City of Suffolk, Virginia. You will be based at a busy tyre bay. Day-to-day duties: • Vulcanize larger cuts on commercial tyres • Keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres • Check tread depth with a depth gauge and spot uneven wear • Log fitments and advise customers on tyre wear and replacement • Demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine • Carry out wheel alignment and adjust camber and toe Requirements: • Awareness of workshop health and safety • A good eye for tread wear and sidewall damage • Basic record-keeping and customer-facing skills 5+ years on the tools preferred.
