Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Doncaster, England. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown On the job you will handle: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers 5+ years on the tools preferred.
