Immediate opening: gas metal arc welder (England)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Telford and Wrekin, England. The job is at an automobile body shop. On the job you will handle: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer £6,900 per project plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
