Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Sarpy County, Nebraska. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
