Great opportunity: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Greene County, Indiana. The job is in a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines Requirements: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Understanding of hand and radio signals Overtime paid at a premium rate.
