Furnace operator wanted in York County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in York County, Pennsylvania. On the job you will handle: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
