We are recruiting: we are hiring a floor and wall tile fitter in Southampton County, Virginia. The job is in a kitchen and bathroom refurbishment. Day to day you will check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away; cut ceramic and porcelain tiles on a manual tile cutter; make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits; spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles; fit skirting tiles, step nosings and external corner trims; apply a waterproofing membrane in showers and wet areas. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation • Able to work to deadlines on busy sites Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided.
