We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Davidson County, North Carolina. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day You will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
