Glass and glazing technician — Newport

Join our team: we are hiring a glass and glazing technician in Newport, Wales. You will be based at a busy glazing workshop. Ideal candidate: • Good eye for measurement and a steady hand • Own basic hand tools an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Measure window and door openings and order glass to size • Replace cracked or broken window panes • Glaze shopfronts, curtain walls and glass partitions • Apply putty, silicone and glazing tape to bed the glass • Read drawings and setting-out details for glazing layouts • Seal joints with a silicone gun and tool off a neat bead Six days a week, one day off.
