Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Ford County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring 5+ years on the tools preferred.
