Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Warren County, New York. You will work at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
