Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Doniphan County, Kansas. You will work at a wholesale meat market. Day-to-day duties: • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Season and marinate meat on request • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools Ideal candidate: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Rotating shifts.
