Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE ₦1,350 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
