Now hiring: we are hiring a steam press operator in Jefferson County, Georgia. The job is at a garment factory. On the job you will handle: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Give each garment a final press before packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics What we are looking for: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Part-time with flexible hours.
