Gantry crane operator • Newcastle upon Tyne, England

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. You will work on a high-rise tower crane. The role involves: • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports What we are looking for: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Current medical and eyesight certificate Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around £17 per hour, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
