Shakeout operator • Sabine Parish, Louisiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Sabine Parish, Louisiana. You will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Full-time with occasional weekends.
