Now hiring: blocklayer (North Carolina)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Chatham County, North Carolina. The job is at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 6+ years on the tools preferred.
